FAQ’s

If the Sonic Drive in App is not working, try these steps:

  • Check your internet connection
  • Update the app from the store if you’re using an old version.
  • Restart the app or your phone
  • If the problem continues, try deleting and reinstalling the app

Sometimes, Sonic’s servers may be down for maintenance—just wait a bit and try again later.

The Sonic App itself does not deliver, but you can order ahead for pickup at your nearest Sonic.
For delivery, you can use other apps like DoorDash, Uber Eats, or Grubhub, depending on your location.

If your order hasn’t been prepared yet:

  • Open the app and go to “Order History”
  • Tap on the current order
  • If there’s a Cancel button, you can cancel it

If not, the order may already be in progress. You can call the store directly for help.

To add a gift card:

  1. Open the Sonic Mobile App
  2. Go to “Payment” or “My Account”
  3. Tap “Add Gift Card”
  4. Enter your gift card number and PIN
  5. Save it to use during checkout

You can also use the gift card to reload your Sonic balance in the app.

The Sonic Drive in App does not show real-time tracking like delivery apps.
However, after placing your order:

  • You’ll get a message when your order is being prepared
  • You’ll be notified when it’s ready for pickup
  • Just go to the pickup spot or stall you selected, and press “I’m Here” in the app so the staff knows you’ve arrived.

To update your payment method:

  1. Open the Sonic Mobile App
  2. Tap on “Account” or “Payment”
  3. Choose “Add New Payment Method”
  4. Enter your credit/debit card info or gift card
  5. Save it

You can also remove or edit old payment methods from the same section.
